This article is about 4 years old and also, from Korea.
According to the article, there is a woman (photo, above)
who got 13 surgeries. She used to be a really pretty woman, but
she started to getting surgeries and turned into a "monster".
In Korea, we call her "선풍기 아줌마" which directly translated to
"Woman who looks like fan". Well, basically this mean is her face
became three times bigger than it used to be. She said that when
she got just a few surgeries, at some how, it turned out to be a
bad one. So, she got another and another surgeries to cover up,
which made her face worse.
The article said that it is not only her that got a
unusual face. In other countries, there are some of them actually
do look like her, because of so many surgeries.
Most people criticize society. Well, like I mentioned on other
blog posts, the world goes around by pretty and handsome people.
That's why people are getting surgeries over and over. Also, for
"fan woman", she had some mental problems. Scientists said about
these "mental problems" that women thinks she needs more plastic
surgeries to make her face look more prettier. It is just like "anorexia"
If people have anorexia problem, than people don't eat food eventhough
they are really thin. Anyway, this "mental problem" population is
growing. Can we survive from these kinds of problems?? Are we
so deep inside of it so we can't escape from it? I think the best
way is to change our mind about appearances but which is
almost impossible. So what are we going to do!!!
I think it is very sad that this kind of mental problem exists. It seems to be a product of societal pressures, not something that is naturally part of us as humans. Why do we put so much pressure on people to be beautiful, and why do we have a sense of fear or repulsion when someone does not look the way they "should"?
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion everybody is handsome or beautiful. No one could choose his\her appearance when they were born. That is why we should not go only with appearance; we should go only with the personality of human beings. There are always some people saying good things and bad things about us. The best thing is "try to be happy what you have".
ReplyDeletehey is that real? I mean this happened to this lady after many plastic surgeries? this is an expression" you dont appreciate what we have until you loose it". you can have plastic surgey if need be, but when you become addicted to it, that is the worst part. Always excess is bad.
